There are so many things I want to update about, omg. SO MANY. My friends list needs to stop being so awesome and giving me so much inspiration/motivation. STOP IT YOU GUYS. I am so full of glee over the people I have on my friends list right now though, I have met some really amazing people and I swear to god I will do an introduction post soon, but every time I try I end up sounding ridiculously geeky and I don't want you guys to regret adding me. So give me some time to edit the geek out.
But ok, I'm going to be busy tonight, so I thought I'd post at least one thing that I've been meaning to do for a while so I can come back later and have tons of things to read/look at/love on.
Link me to something of yours that you feel was under-appreciated at the time you posted it. Or, even if it was well-received, something of which you're proud. (That sounds so awkward, doesn't it? But I hate ending sentences with 'of.') It can be anything. Fic, icons, graphics, a funny chat log, a clever entry, insightful meta, even just a post you made that you thought was really well-written. Anything. And I will check it out. It doesn't have to be fandom-related, and if it is, it doesn't have to be in a fandom in which I participate. Preferably not friends locked, because other people scrolling through comments might want to check it out, too. But if the one thing you want to link is friends locked and you don't want to change that, that's totally ok.
I have so many new people on my list that I know are talented and awesome, but I just don't have the time to back and read every single entry or every single fic or look at every single icon post. And I have so many old friends that I was terrible about keeping up with for so long, and I feel awful about that.
Seriously, I want everyone to do this. Please. It will make my night, and it's been a pretty crappy night. I lose faith in people in general sometimes, and I hate that. I need rejuvenation. ♥

I've always been pretty disappointed with the TOTAL lack of response to "Hallelujah, Lock and Load (http://rockababy.livejournal.com/21251.html)". It was my first attempt at zombie!fic and I really like it but I've only ever gotten one piece of feedback about it and that was from someone to whom I pimped it shamelessly and mercilessly. I'm almost entirely certain that it's because it's Tony/Minako--Mest fans don't want to read about some anime superheroine and Sailor Moon fans don't want to read about some foul-mouthed punk--but I think that's unfair because most of it is about Tony. But that's what I get for picking such an obscure OTP. In any case, I think it's excellent in places (one of my favorite pieces of imagery is Tony breaking, silently, in Minako's arms, and the very last line is one of my absolute favorites) and it's always made me kind of sad that no one seems to have read it, or if they did they were so apathetic towards it. Cries.
I'm also a little perturbed by the totally nonexistent reaction to A Quartz Contentment (http://rockababy.livejournal.com/40419.html) because it's not a crossover, it features a fairly popular canon pairing, it has a lot of (what I think are) interesting ideas, and SOMEONE HAS SEX WITH A ZOMBIE! Seriously, I thought that would have been enough to get at least SOME kind of response, but I've never heard anything about it other than it having been anonymously nominated for a few awards at
Maybe my fandoms just aren't ready for zombies yet. :O
