oh, boy

I got season one, disc one of Quantum Leap from Netflix today. I am in for a good afternoon of cuddling up and watching awesome TV.

Did I ever mention that I once named a cat Bakula? Those of you who watched or know anything about Quantum Leap will get that.

I also got season one, disc two of CSI: Miami but we will pretend I didn't watch it as soon as it arrived and we will also pretend that I hadn't already seen every episode on it and we will also pretend that I didn't watch them anyway. Oh, me. Stop being lame.

Season 1 of CSI Miami is totally my fave. It's so nice, gory and cracky!

[identity profile] quarterturn.livejournal.com 2007-02-10 09:07 pm (UTC)(link)
It is totally cracky, and also the girl who plays Calleigh (I think I spelled that right) is so cute, especially when she's playing with guns. :D

Quantum Leap!! *HI 5* you = awesome :D
I completley adored it growing up, and recentley rewatched the first four seasons on dvd, i am just waiting for my sister to finish watching season five before i steal it off her! lol :D

(icon because it's my only QL icon lol)

This show was seriously my first obsession when it came to TV shows. Before Buffy, before Supernatural...Quantum Leap was it. I had the novels, the trivia book, the VHS versions. Now all I need are the DVD sets.

I need Quantum Leap icons like right now. :(

[identity profile] such-jaunt.livejournal.com 2007-02-11 12:47 am (UTC)(link)
OMG me too :) I totally loved it, it was the only show my sister and i were allowed to stay up late for lol!
She owns all the seasons on DVD so i can't because we have an odd pact about not buying the same stuff as each other! (lol i bought alot of them for just so i could borrow them?!??!)

Also i loved Buffy, before SPN, that and our pony childhoods and apparent love of cookies we're so meant to be BFF's ;D

Sadly i haven't managed to find anyone that makes good ones yet :|

we're so meant to be BFF's ;D

Obviously! *makes BFF bracelets*

I am going on a Quantum Leap icon making spree later tonight, I think. I just watched the first two episodes and man, I knew I loved this show but I forgot just how much!

Quantum Leap is love. ^_^

I was slashing Sam/Al before I even really knew what slash was ;) I didn't seriously get into fandom until Forever Knight though.

[identity profile] quarterturn.livejournal.com 2007-02-11 12:38 am (UTC)(link)
I have never slashed Sam/Al, but I am willing to bet that after this marathon, I'm going to be. :D Any fic recs?

Oh, Forever Knight. That was a flash in the pan love for me, I think I got into it at the wrong age. I might have to try watching it again.

Recs -

Adam's Rib (http://www.angelfire.com/oh3/qlsa/adamsrib.html) by Agnes Joseph, a QL/Highlander crossover, Sam/Al and Duncan/Methos

Let's Give 'Em Something to Talk About (http://qlsa.slashcity.net/something.html) by MJ, a pre-series AU kinda, slightly OOC maybe, but funny

Forever Knight had some seriously bad special effects, and since it jumped networks 3 times and almost got cancelled at least twice, has some weird plot jumps between seasons, but it had some really good moments sometimes, and it's one of the few vampire series where the vampires are unapologetically evil a lot of the time. Especially LaCroix. I love that character the best. :) If you ever rewatch it, I say to mostly ignore the stilted romance between Nick and Natalie and focus on LaCroix. ;)

Thank you for those! I've never seen Highlander so hopefully I'll still be able to follow along.

I just read the second one though, haha, how awesome. I am definitely going to be looking for more QL fic now.

[identity profile] mutelorelei.livejournal.com 2007-02-21 10:28 am (UTC)(link)
Never seen Highlander?! How can you resist the super hot manly perfection that is Adrian Paul? (Although over the course of the show I managed to develop a far bigger crush on Peter Wingfield, who played Methos, than on Adrian)

Oh yeah, Quantum Leap totally rules. I LOVE this show absolutely and Sam is such a cute guy^^ I didn't buy the DVDs yet because I am hoping they bring out one box with all seasons - or at least publish ALL seasons (not only the first one) in Germany, because I don't really like importing DVD Boxes... But I don't think I can stay patient very long *g*

Btw: Hi there ;)

[identity profile] quarterturn.livejournal.com 2007-02-11 12:39 am (UTC)(link)
Man, Sam is adorable. I have watched some really terrible movies just for Scott Bakula. :D I'll probably wait to buy the sets until they come out with a box set, too; for now, Netflix will have to do.

Well, hello there. ;)

[identity profile] snobantiker.livejournal.com 2007-02-11 12:56 am (UTC)(link)
*squeeee* Sam was my second love (MacGyver was the first). I also watched every movie with Scott I could get my fingers on. But then came Star Trek and Captain Archer. I didn't like Scott there very much. I always had the feeling he somehow couldn't act anymore...*pout*

[identity profile] quarterturn.livejournal.com 2007-02-11 01:39 am (UTC)(link)
Haha, oh man, I actually bought Necessary Roughness and watched it all the time. And I watched A Passion To Kill and Color Of Night, which...should never be watched. By anyone. Ever. They're so bad.

I actually never saw the Star Trek with him, I had moved on to other celebrity crushes by then (Stephen Baldwin in The Young Riders man I can't believe I admitted that lol.) Now I'm kinda glad I didn't see it.

*snuggles up and watches with you*

I love CSI:Miami. When I moved back here and had no cable I could only get one channel and I got addicted to the show.

[identity profile] quarterturn.livejournal.com 2007-02-20 04:13 pm (UTC)(link)
It is addictive! I never thought I'd be into CSI or any of the spinoffs, but man, this one is good. Plus, hello, Ryan Wolfe is amazing looking. :D
