Happy Valentine's Day!

CURSE YOU NETFLIX WHY ARE YOU THE BANE OF MY EXISTENCE? I got a Netflix envelope front today, with no back and no movie. Obviously some postal worker has it out for me. They're probably watching my copy of Essex Boys right now, feet propped up on stacks of undelivered mail and evil in their heart.

I don't really dislike postal workers, just in case any of you are such.

But I do dislike Netflix because they decided to choose three movies from the middle of my queue to send me when I don't even really want to see them that badly (Stay Alive? Come on, Netflix, is this a cruel Valentine's Day joke?) All I wanted was some more CSI: Miami and Quantum Leap. Sobbles.

But evil postal workers and Netflix conspiracies aside, Happy Valentine's Day, flist! And to those of you who don't celebrate it/don't like it/have been horribly emotionally scarred by it's very existence, well, Happy Middle Of February Day, dolls.

I got some awesome Valentinrs, you guys. Seriously, you are all the best bunch ever. *squishes you all* I especially liked, "In Soviet Russia, valentines send YOU" from [livejournal.com profile] scarletangel68, who is obviously like a super sekrit Jess-cheerer-upper because that made me laugh so hard after I was pissed at Netflix/postal workers. And also [livejournal.com profile] katrina87 who passed along a special message from Jim Halpert to me. Sorry, Pam Beesly. And Karen. I guess you two will just have to make out with each other to commiserate your loss of Big Tuna to me. And I got some really sweet ones that I'd prefer to keep to myself because they make me all mushy inside. But thank you [livejournal.com profile] technosage, [livejournal.com profile] hebrew_hernia, [livejournal.com profile] angel_kathryn, [livejournal.com profile] medie, [livejournal.com profile] badaddiction, [livejournal.com profile] lover_youshould, [livejournal.com profile] kiki_miserychic, and especially [livejournal.com profile] dementedlove. And thank you to the anonymous love-givers, too. You guys all made me grin so hard my face hurt.

Anyone wanna own up to the anonymous lyrics? I love them, I honestly love them. ;) I'll screen comments in here just in case someone wants to be like 'hey it was me' and get glomped with love from me.

I think I'm having a better Valentine's Day being single than I ever had with a significant other. Just proves my theory that friends are way better to have than boyfriends/girlfriends.

Aww, my grandpa took my grandma out to lunch today and bought her a ginormous box of chocolate. They've been together like fifty-some years, they are so cute sometimes.

Everyone should probably go to [livejournal.com profile] svmadelyn's journal and check out the results of the Valentine's Day Game. Lots of people I know got love. ;)

Sometimes I seriously hate Netflix. I've never gotten an empty envelope but I have gotten many scratched and broken discs. :(

Glad you liked your valentinr message! :)

[identity profile] quarterturn.livejournal.com 2007-02-15 07:47 am (UTC)(link)
One of my very first discs was scratched to the point of being not playable, so that didn't give me a lot of confidence. :-/ Granted, it was Devour, which may be one of the worst movies of all time, so maybe it was fate, but still. :D

I did, thank you, sugar! *loves on you*

One anon valentinr was from me. *shy*

[identity profile] quarterturn.livejournal.com 2007-02-15 07:48 am (UTC)(link)
Psh, no need to be shy! Thank you so much for the anonymous love, sweets, it was so very much appreciated. ♥

Soviet Russia jokes will never get old. Ever. Fate, I tempt you with no fear!

Sorry, Pam Beesly. And Karen. I guess you two will just have to make out with each other to commiserate your loss of Big Tuna to me.
Basically that is the ultimate solution to the Pam/Jim/Karen problem. Why didn't I think of this before?

[identity profile] quarterturn.livejournal.com 2007-02-15 07:50 am (UTC)(link)
I think Pam and Karen making out should basically be the ultimate solution to everything. War? Just have Beesly and Filippelli make out for a while, people will be too turned on to be hating on each other. Global warming? Just have them make out and the ozone layer will be too distracted to get depleted.

since it helped with lj... *kicks netflix*

Aww, my grandpa took my grandma out to lunch today and bought her a ginormous box of chocolate. They've been together like fifty-some years, they are so cute sometimes.

That is the cutest thing EVER. I love elderly couples. :)

[identity profile] quarterturn.livejournal.com 2007-02-17 07:16 pm (UTC)(link)
YOU MUST HAVE MAGIC FEET. Seriously, I got all four discs within a day of sending the others back. *makes you kick my love life* :D

[identity profile] hebrew-hernia.livejournal.com 2007-02-15 02:19 pm (UTC)(link)
But Stay Alive is so FUNNY! Have you watched it? When Milo THROWS THE GLASS OF MILK AT THE EVIL SHADOWY THINGIE! And then you're like "WHERE DID THAT BALCONY COME FROM? That wasn't there before!" AND FRANKIE MUNIZ! *laughs hysterically*

[identity profile] quarterturn.livejournal.com 2007-02-17 07:19 pm (UTC)(link)
I JUST WATCHED IT YESTERDAY. LMAO I am so lame, it actually creeped me out pretty bad, but YES the first ten minutes were hysterical, if only for Milo's scruffiness and total geekery and glasses. And MILK THROWING.

[identity profile] such-jaunt.livejournal.com 2007-02-15 04:52 pm (UTC)(link)
Damn Netflix they do seem to have it in for you, depriving people of Quantum leap for a start should be illegal! And Stay alive? lol i thought that was the sequel to Saturday night fever, noone should be subjected to that!! ;)

"Anyone wanna own up to the anonymous lyrics? I love them, I honestly love them. ;)"

*Whistles* lol :D

[identity profile] quarterturn.livejournal.com 2007-02-17 07:21 pm (UTC)(link)
AHAHAHA Stay Alive isn't the sequel to Saturday Night Fever, it's a horror flick with Milo Ventimiglia, but yes, it was way worse than Quantum Leap. Although, very few things can measure up to Quantum Leap.

*tackles and glomps* YOU ARE SO AWESOME.

[identity profile] such-jaunt.livejournal.com 2007-02-18 11:34 pm (UTC)(link)
Phew i was getting a bit worried about you and netflix abuse for a moment there, thinking next thing you'll be getting delivered old seasons of The District or Critters 3 etc ;)

I can't strictly take credit for it i think some woman called olivia beat me to it ;) lol *squishes you*
