It is so RIDICULOUSLY cold here today. It's supposed to be something like negative 25 tomorrow, wtf. Go away, weather.

I don't talk politics much here, but the caucus is Thursday night and I'm still undecided. HRM. I was leaning toward Clinton, and now I'm leaning toward Obama. I think my brother is going with me, even though he's only seventeen, he'll be eighteen by the election so he can still caucus. I'm thinking about calling up my sister that I don't even get along with and roping her into coming, too, just so there's another body.

Do any of you guys have a caucus/primary in your state, and if so, do you participate? This is my first year, so I'm a little...not nervous really, but unprepared, I suppose.

My brother and I watched No Country For Old Men last night and.... No, really. What? I suppose it didn't help that I was going into it expecting something way different. My brother just told me it was about this guy that found some money and he had to escape these other guys that wanted the money. So I'm expecting action, or at least some action. But I still didn't really get the point of the movie, and I suppose I'm revealing how dreadfully ignorant I am with that statement, but oh well. I've read that it's supposed to be less about plot and more about characters, but I didn't really see a lot of character development, either.

And then I wandered into the pit that is the IMDB boards, and now I'm more confused than ever. Some people are saying the sheriff's character is the same person as the killer's? That it was his alter ego, the part of him that couldn't stand the evil and injustice in the world that he as a sheriff couldn't do anything about. All right, I'll admit I'm kind of hoping that's the case, just because it would make the movie more interesting, but I didn't see any hints of that at all. And wasn't the killer more evil and unjust than a lot of the people he was killing?

IDEK.

I also watched I Am Legend and now desperately want Supernatural crossover fic, where Dean and or Sam have managed to survive and make their way to New York.

Happy New Year, bbs! ♥

Okay, so I know balls about politics and I don't know what No Country For Old Men is, but Supernatural/I Am Legend! It makes my brain flail about in glee, because as soon as they started zooming about post-apocalyptic New York, I started thinking about Supernatural. But a crossover did not occur to me, and, and. That would be so bomb. Ilu. Those two in abandoned NY, stalking the streets by day hunting deer, and hunting sonsabitch zombies by night? YES. And maybe there would be moral issues because one of them would be like, but they're still human, aren't they, but of course then the other will almost get killed by a nightwalker and whoever was having the moral issues would be like, IT'S OVER, BITCH. And kill everything in sight.

I read this post-apocalyptic Mohinder/Sylar fic that I might have told you about but don't remember if I did, where Sylar keeps Mohinder safe with his powers. SAM DOING THE SAME, y/y? Anything with Sam developing his powers = win for me. Maybe Dean's not even immune, but Sam is CONSTANTLY keeping this mental bubble around Dean so he doesn't get the airborne virus. Which would be bothersome, but homg. He'd either be so powerful that it would be subconscious, or else it had to be conscious and he'd be slowly consumed by the power because he's using it 24/7, not even stopping for sleep, so the power is keeping him awake.

OH. I searched LJ, del.icio.us, Google, aaand I found TWO Andy/Webber fics. On the internet. TOTAL. I am a sad sad puppy. But they are both v. v. good!

This (http://nixwilliams.livejournal.com/32100.html#cutid1) and this (http://community.livejournal.com/thrillsforall/19871.html), the latter being REALLY FUCKED UP. But good! But fucked up.

Two cool things I found during my search: [livejournal.com profile] spn_stoners, which is a community dedicated to all things Ash and/or Andy, and this (http://black-samvara.livejournal.com/317422.html). :D

That's strange. Somebody else on my flist said they wanted to see a 'I Am Legend' crossover - can't remember who, though.

Ouch! That is COLD! *sends you lots of warmth*

what is a caucus/primary? is that like a pre-election?

I've been hearing so many good reviews on I Am Legend. I'm glad because I wanted to see it. I should expect good things considering it's a Will Smith movie. He wouldn't allow the movie to suck.

blimey that's like siberian temperatures surely - *sends you some stolen sunshine*

You've lost me a little with some of the political terms there :O But it sounds like it's a positive make your vote count kind of stance and I am all for that (especially if it means never having anyone as dumb as George w. Bush in office again)

Ok I have never heard of that movie but it doesn't sound like i want to so it's all good lol. Beware of imdb boards though they are a strange uncertain planet consisting of crazies and people obsessed with working out either ones pinpoint exact ethnic background, or which other person so and so 100% positively resembles...and that's about it! lol

OMG I went to see I am Legend at the cinema today and well see i never even thought of spn crossover and yet you make me see how awesome it could be! :D

ps: I am legend spoiler....

I live in florida and would be willing to give you 25 degrees. That would put you at 0 (which is at the very least, warmer) and us at 50. Which sounds fabulous :) Although I hear tell that we have a cold front coming that'll drop us about that much *crosses fingers* here's hoping!

Also, your idea for the SPN/IAL crossover? SOUNDS FABULOUS. If you find someone to write that definitely rec it so I can read too XD

I was extremely underwhelmed by I Am Legend. It started out nice enough but as soon as the first CGI people popped up it totally lost me. I read on wikipedia that they were originally meant to be just real actors with masks but then they abandoned it.

Anyway, is it just me or are apocalypse movie the newest thing right now? There seem to be quite an amount of them!

And a crossover with SPN would probably be the very best thing to happen to IAL. It all reminds me of my apocasmut fic. Which btw is getting long. I warned you!

Happy New Year, baby!

Was I Am Legend good? I've been wanting to see it - but there's so many movies I want to see right now and not nearly enough time.

OMG! It's supposed to be in the upper 40's/50's the next few days, and I will so trade you.
