This is what I have so far. I'm stuck on who would be Byers though.

Gerard “Spooky” Way has always been the joke of the FBI, but it never mattered to him. All he cares about is saving lives and finding his younger brother Mikey. This sounds AMAZING, bb. I would totally offer to help you round out the cast/plot, but I've only seen the first couple seasons of the show. :-/ I keep meaning to go back and just watch it all straight through, but I keep getting distracted.

Dude I have actually seen every single episode of the x-files. Even the ones that I don't like to admit exist. It was my favorite show for years. You should definitely watch some episodes. And I'm kinda excited about trying to write it. Though I really need to work out the details.

I'm kind of hesitant to watch the Mulder-lite episodes, even though I really do love Robert Patrick (is that the guy that took over? The dude from Terminator 2?) In your expert opinion, should I just watch up to a certain point so I can pretend the later seasons didn't happen, or watch all the way through and deal with it?

I mostly tend to ignore season 9. It's not that I don't like Robert Patrick and Annabeth Gish, but they were definitely no Mulder and Scully. I'm not really a fan of the Mulder-lite seasons near the end, so you can totally pretend it didn't happen if that's what you want to do.

And thank you very much. If I can come up with something I'll definitely keep that in mind.

My brother's actually been bugging me to re-watch the first few seasons with him lately, so I may have to start my watching now so as to be prepared for when you finish your fic!

Haha, more like if I finish the fic. Right now all I really have is just the vague outline for how I want the conspiracy plot to unfold. And I'm still trying to figure out what monsters-of-the-week I want them to investigate.
