Obvs I did not die in a tornado, but thank you guys for all your well wishes! It passed over us, so now I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it does the same for theroyalcrymson up in Minnesota.

I read my first spn_j2_bigbang fic earlier, Monogatari by winterlive, and man. If the rest of them shape up to be like this? I AM IN FOR A GOOD SUMMER.

Honestly, I'm usually not so big on long fics, mostly because my attention span is worthless, but also because I think I've been scarred by too many chaptered fics that either go on forever and the chapters end up being nothing but filler, or WIPs that never get finished and I'm left hanging. But this was such an enjoyable read. I wasn't blown away or anything, but it was definitely good. Is that a faux pas to be a little critical when you're giving recs? I feel a little awkward being like, "well this is what I didn't like, but here's what I did like" because to me, recs are for praising work, so I don't know. I'm gonna talk about it under the cut, good and bad things, and there will obviously be spoilers. Seriously, if there's even a smallish chance you'll read this, don't click the cut. There are some really cool twists and surprises in the story that would be ruined if you read this.
