Holiday Love Meme, Secret Santa Style! / me.

And if you didn't put your name on the last love meme, you better do this one. >:( Even if you did put your name on that one and need some more love, do it again! There's no such thing as too much love, unless it's a creepy kind of love with scary mustaches and unmarked vans. Stay away from that kind of love!

Also, Leathermouth is doing a live stream of their show tonight, here. I think it's just for the US though. :(

In conclusion, BOOKWORM AHAHAHA.

eta. I am a total loser who forgot to send my EPIC EPIC love to [livejournal.com profile] rhombal for telling SVV hello for me at the empires show last night, and to [livejournal.com profile] musictoyourlips for concert calling me. I don't know what I did in a past life to deserve such amazing friends, but I'm not complaining!

Love meme! If you haven't already added your name, you should definitely do that so I can love you up. Seriously, do it. Or you'll ruin Christmas. >:(

Anyone who hasn't filled out the Christmas card poll, you should definitely do that, too. I have way more Christmas cards than I know what to do with. Seriously, whether we talk on a regular basis or haven't talked once since we added each other, I like sending out cards, so go fill it out.

One last time, if you've posted a holiday wishlist, and don't see your name here, please link me to yours! New people, especially, since I probably didn't see yours if you posted it early.

[livejournal.com profile] citibyrd, guess what? ILU! FOB concert call! \O/ Thank you so much, bb. ♥

Does anyone know of any good BDSM resource sites? Just good overviews, step-by-steps, dos and don'ts, that kind of thing. I know for a fact my flist is better than Google about this kind of stuff.

Here, have some Greta/Vicky-T! Pretty porny toward the end, so skip it if that's not your style. AND I KNOW HOW MOST OF YOU AREN'T INTO THE PORN, SO.

the prompt was 'Five times Greta Salpeter questions her straightness' )

[livejournal.com profile] rhombal called me from the empires show last night and I heard Under the Bright Lights, which is so very much my favorite song of theirs right now, as evidenced by my current journal name. HOW DOES SHE DO IT. Be so awesome, that is. ILU.

I've also decided that the thing I need most in my life right now is Rahm Emanuel bandom crossover fic. Somebody, please. It needs to be done.

Speaking of Rahm, this commentfic where Crowley and Aziraphale from Good Omens discuss Rahm? Is definitely one of my favorite things ever. More fictional characters need to discuss/interact with Rahm.

Everybody should probably sign up for [livejournal.com profile] sosodirty, a bandom kink fic and art challenge. There's a huge list of kinks and I sort of want to see almost all of them written. KINK. You know you want to.

I was in such a bad mood tonight that I had to start writing loan shark!au fic. Probably not the best use of my time, but writing about Frank gleefully beating the shit out of people cheered me right up.

[livejournal.com profile] musictoyourlips called me from the empires show tonight, the one that I couldn't make it to. I listened to Spit the Dark and may or may not have teared up over how much I love that song and the fact that people are awesome enough to think about me when they're having their own empires fun. Thank you, Rosie. ♥

If you've posted that Christmas wishlist meme and don't see your name on this list, please link me! I've been trying to keep track of them as they're posted, but I'm paranoid about some slipping through the cracks.

Here's a story about my failyness that's sure to make you re-evaluate ever coming to visit.

I was going to make mac and cheese the other day, right? Because mac and cheese is awesome and easy and should be made often. My brother had just made something that required a cookie sheet and a spatula, and left the spatula on top of the cookie sheet on top of the oven, so I just used the burner on the other side. Or. I thought I did. Fifteen minutes later, my brother announces that I'm trying to kill them all - there were flames, the entire house was filled with the smoke of a dying spatula, and my water was not boiling because I'd turned on the wrong burner.

The problem with this is that it's not the first time things like this have happened. :-/ I once blew up the microwave because I thought someone said to put a baked potato in for half an hour, not ten minutes (I was like thirteen, give me a break). I once backed into a neighbor's gas main and the fire department came and woke up the entire neighborhood at five in the morning because they thought they might have to evacuate everyone. I once turned on a light, not realizing that someone's sock (seriously though, wtf, sock) was on top of it and it started the sock on fire. The recycling bin lid fell off the bin and onto our heating grate and melted into the heater. There were flames and smoke with that one, too.

So it's not all my fault, I just seem to have a tendency to be around when things like that happen. Fire incidents aside, I have never gone camping without a tornado popping up wherever it is I'm camping (three times, but after the third time I just said fuck it and stopped going camping).

Tell me about your most faily situations so I feel less like a disaster magnet. :(

Oh. My. God. Book sales are nothing short of HEAVEN. Seriously. Our Lion's Club has an annual book sale where people just donate books and then they sell them cheap, and I went tonight and it was AMAZING. I was literally making grabby hands at the books. I didn't have a lot to spend so I was trying to really only get the ones that were cheap and in good condition or a little bit more expensive but such a good deal I couldn't pass it up. I ended up spending $12.50, and I got the following:

I maybe want to go back tomorrow and spend any money I can find in the couch cushions )

A few of the paperbacks are well-worn, but nothing bad. They had tons of Terry Pratchett books, but they were all hardcover and therefore more expensive, so. :-/

They also had like, fifteen copies of The Bridges of Madison County. Is that a terrible book? It got donated pretty often! They also had probably every single Dean Koontz book ever published, a whole room dedicated just to romance novels, and a bunch of vinyl albums. I was so tempted, but I didn't even bother looking at them, because I was having a hard enough time keeping myself in check with the books.

[livejournal.com profile] lover_youshould, you are adorable and every day should be filled with voicemails from kino! Especially with fic-reading! I love you too, dollface. ♥

[livejournal.com profile] sparkfrost, it's treating me pretty well! I got about four hours of sleep today and I'm still coherent, so. \O/ energy drinks!

Ahahaha, [livejournal.com profile] of_evangeline, I love that you texted me in a fake accent. Just fyi, I totally read it in my head with a bad Russian accent. :D

eta. LARRRRRS I HATE THAT I MISSED YOU! :(

I am probably really late on this where you are, but I have to send a great big Happy Birthday! to [livejournal.com profile] subtle__sarcasm. Kat, you are amazing in so many ways, I don't know how many times I've been cheered up just by seeing a post from you on my flist. You are adorable and generous and your enthusiasm is contagious, and I just really ♥ you an awful lot. I hope you had a fantastic birthday, sweetheart, you deserve it.
