I haven't talked about Heroes much this season, mostly because I didn't catch up with it until a few weeks ago. I...still don't have a lot to say, ( except that )

I've been watching tons of 80s movies lately, and rarely do I find one that I don't want to make into a bandom AU. I've especially been enjoying the Midnight Run AU in my head, where Frank is a bail bondsman who works for Brian, and he has to track down bail jumper!Gerard, and then a series of unfortunate events sends them on a faily roadtrip back to where Gerard's wanted, complete with hating each other at first! And then lots of UST! And cameos by Bob the rival bondsman trying to steal Gerard away! And car chases and shootouts and FBI agents and angst when Frank realizes he likes Gerard a lot but still has to turn him in. ;__; And probably a happy ending because usually that's how my daydreams roll.

Also, is there a Princess Bride bandom AU somewhere? Because there really, really should be.

I am so tired wtf. Eff getting up early on a Sunday. The fire department's doing a pancake breakfast as a fundraiser, and I told Allen I'd go and meet all his friends, donate to a good cause. Plus, uh, firefighters. So I got all dolled up, did my hair, was fairly pleased with the results. All the dudes were married and/or old. If life really loved me there would have been a single firefighter there that looked like Frank Iero. Come on, he'd make an awesome firefighter. Constantly rushing into the fray. Looking hot all sweaty and smudgy. Monkeying around on the trucks. And Gerard could be a paramedic, and there is a budding romance amongst disaster scenes. Or Bob. Bob would make an awesome firefighter/paramedic/search and rescue dude. Has somebody written this? If not, why?

Anybody feel like looking over a fic for me? It's bandom (haha, of course), Pete/Patrick, definitely some underage Patrick. I mostly need someone to check for errors and tell me if it's good or needs to be fleshed out more, bounce around an idea or two.

I also maybe have a Black Donnellys fic or two that might need looking over in the next day or two. >.> If anyone's interested.

1) make a list of fifteen characters first, and keep it to yourself for the moment. (that way you're not leading the questions asked to fit the characters.)

2) ask your flist to post questions in the comments.

for example: 'one, nine and fifteen are chosen by a prophecy to save the world from four. do they succeed?'
'under what circumstances might five and seven fall in love?'
'which character on the list would you most want on your side in a zombie invasion?'
'write a drabble in which three and five fight crime.' (...possibly not technically a question.)

3) after your flist has asked enough questions, round them up and answer them using the fifteen characters you selected beforehand, then post them.

So do that, por favor. I kind of love this meme to an unhealthy degree.

I absolutely meant to post yesterday, but then I watched Bubble Boy (JAKE GYLLENHAAL DO ME EVEN WITH YOUR DUMB HAIR) and ate tacos. So, a productive day all in all.

Anyway! I managed to make it up to Minneapolis to see Reggie and the Full Effect and Leathermouth on Tuesday, and it was AWESOME. Ok, and I say that knowing some pretty high levels of awesome in the past.

I am mostly going to copy paste big sections of an e-mail I sent the night I got home, because it is way easier than typing it all out.

just_katarin FOR MAKING ME LOVE THEM), but Alkaline Trio is playing a different venue in Minneapolis two days later, and there's no way I can make both. Um. I've been wanting to see Alkaline Trio for like five years. :-/ But they're playing at this really upscale place, I don't know, like the pictures make it look like something you'd see in LA, where you'd order Cristal and stuff. I think I'd rather wait and see them when they come back around and hope they end up at a different venue.

I think those of you who would be interested have probably already seen this, but there's a mixtape available for download at FOE. FOB/Panic/TAI/etc. demos, snippets, and so forth. I haven't had a chance to listen to it all the way through, but Cobra Starship's "I Kissed A Boy" kind of makes me happy to be living in this awesome world that has Gabe Saporta in it.

And it's a good thing I had that kind of happiness on my side, because I found these pictures of Frank Iero, and my heart kind of broke.

I had a dream last night in which I was having sex with Pete Wentz. Bandom friends, this is all your fault. I don't know how, but it is. The sex was amazing, but it was weird and he was reading me Kant during. I have no idea.

The thing is, I'm only vaguely attracted to Pete Wentz, in the same way I'm attracted to Colin Farrell: it'd probably be good, but I'd need to be tested for every STD known to man afterwards, and probably some known to animals. And I'd never quite get that dirty feeling off.

Granted, my knowledge of Pete Wentz is limited to what I hear through the few bandom friends I have, and a few random tidbits here and there that make it into mainstream media. So I have this kind of half-formed concept of Pete as like, the organ grinder's monkey. He's kinda cute, and he completes his required tasks fairly competently, but you wouldn't want to get too close for fear of fleas, and it's the organ grinder that's got all the talent anyway. The organ grinder, in this analogy, being Patrick, of course. I'm pretty sure there's an 'organ' joke in there somewhere that my inner 12-year-old is dying to find, but I'm kind of excited that I didn't build the whole analogy around that joke. Fandom hasn't eaten all of my soul yet.
