I absolutely meant to post yesterday, but then I watched Bubble Boy (JAKE GYLLENHAAL DO ME EVEN WITH YOUR DUMB HAIR) and ate tacos. So, a productive day all in all.

Anyway! I managed to make it up to Minneapolis to see Reggie and the Full Effect and Leathermouth on Tuesday, and it was AWESOME. Ok, and I say that knowing some pretty high levels of awesome in the past.

I am mostly going to copy paste big sections of an e-mail I sent the night I got home, because it is way easier than typing it all out.

empires is playing the same venue in November, and I'm pretty sure I've got Allen talked into going (HEY THANKS

just_katarin FOR MAKING ME LOVE THEM), but Alkaline Trio is playing a different venue in Minneapolis two days later, and there's no way I can make both. Um. I've been wanting to see Alkaline Trio for like five years. :-/ But they're playing at this really upscale place, I don't know, like the pictures make it look like something you'd see in LA, where you'd order Cristal and stuff. I think I'd rather wait and see them when they come back around and hope they end up at a different venue.

I got the most delicious package in the mail yesterday, thanks to my beloved

meegzi31. It was full of all these wonderful little things like a bracelet kit and Care Bears bubble gum and a Hello Kitty smarties dispenser and a teeny tiny little dream book and HOMG stickers of the Candy Land/Strawberry Shortcake/My Little Pony variety and candy and gels and lotions and perfumes and lip glosses and just! !!! Like, I literally just kind of wanted to eat the whole box, bubble wrap and all. Meghan, I adore you, darling. So very much. Thank you for all the wonderful treats. ♥

And because I just have to, some of the stuff she sent me was the brand mark., and it is so delicious. So if you happen to have any cosmetic needs (they have the most amazing lip gloss, and they also sell some clothes/accessories and lotions and the like), definitely check them out. I went drinking the night before last, the first time in a while, and got beautifully buzzed on tequila sunrises. Ok. More than a little buzzed. Not completely wasted, but drunk enough to have a sudden epiphany about my love for ducks, and drunk enough to tell anyone who would listen about said epiphany ("But they have webbed feet! Webbed feet! And they're beautiful!") I don't know, either.

I've seen a little bit of the Milo/Hayden stuff floating around, and while I'm not terribly opinionated one way or the other (my mom and dad are ten years apart, and met when they were similar ages, and I've dated someone near ten years older when I was nineteen), I'm interested in how opinionated some people are. So I have a question that will best be answered using a poll.

This is far from scientific, bbs. It's seven in the morning, what do you expect? If I left anything off or you feel you'd better represent yourself in a comment than in a poll, feel free! I might not be up for discussion until later in the day, but I will be up for it. And if you want, you can spread this around, since I don't think I have many Peter/Claire or Milo/Hayden shippers on my list, and I'd be interested in getting feedback from a variety of people.

Happy Thanksgiving!

To those that celebrate, in any case. Believe me when I say that after spending the day quietly hating my family and drinking booze that wasn't nearly strong enough, I am doubly grateful for each and every one of you. No, seriously. Even if we don't talk much (or um, ever), I'm grateful that you keep me around, put up with my bullshit and frequent absences, that you make posts that keep me entertained or put my life in perspective or motivate me to do something more than I'm doing or be something more than I am.

I'm especially grateful for those of you I've gotten to know, because really, you are a kickass group of people to know. I'm surrounded by people who are smart and motivated and talented, and I love you all v. v. much.

And I am ridiculously grateful for these men, them and their goddamned beautiful selves.

So, last night (er, this morning) I was too ~~lazy~~ tired to wash off my makeup before I went to bed, or even really take my hair down, so this morning I stumbled into the bathroom and my eyes were like "Hai bb, you look like a crack whore," and my hair was like, "You, not FTW!"

We went shopping for booze yesterday, because Allen's party is in a week and a half and I guess he wanted to make sure it didn't all sell out? IDK. He spent a ridiculous amount of money. However, I think he's set for alcohol for oh, the next couple of years or so. I made him buy this stuff called Tequila Rose, it's a creamy strawberry and tequila mixture, it sounds pretty damn good. And he got Guinness just for me. :D AND! He bought me a teeny tiny little bottle of Bailey's Mint Chocolate, which I've been wanting to try. Someday I will have a teeny tiny little alcohol bottle collection, and it will be made of win.

Also, we went mini golfing in a place that was pitch black except for glow in the dark stuff. It was pretty amazing. I sucked, as usual. And that new Avril Lavigne song was playing, the "Girlfriend" one, and I was like DAMMIT WHY IS THIS SO CATCHY.

And then I came home and was in a terrible mood and kind of just wanted everyone to go die, but then I talked to Pam and we discussed, among other things, how ridiculously obvious Jared and Jensen are, and I felt better. Speaking of which, what is the deal with this $25,000 watch? (Keep in mind I have no definitive proof the watch cost this much, this is what I'm hearing from my flist.) Are there details? Will someone in this awesome fandom make a manip of that diamond commercial from Family Guy? You know, "Diamonds: She pretty much has to." Except this time it will be, "$25,000 watch: He pretty much has to." ETA:

I tried to make a voicepost to you know. Voice my displeasure at the cancellation of TBD. But I sounded really dumb and like I had been crying, which I haven't, actually, I just can't seem to shake the last vestiges of my cold from two weeks ago.

So instead, I am making this post, in which I say I AM VERY DISPLEASED ABOUT THE CANCELLATION OF THE BLACK DONNELLYS. Thanks, NBC.

And now I am drinking tequila and Cherry Coke, because dammit someone drank all the orange juice so I can't make myself a tequila sunrise. But I think I used way too much tequila because it's basically like, a tall shot. And carbonated. I don't know. It's making me shudder every time I take a drink, but it's tequila so it's like, *shudder* Mmmm. *shudder* Mmmm. Thanks, NBC, for forcing me to the booze.

Tomorrow I will be prodding you all to go write TBD fic in remembrance. There should be like a deathfic challenge to commemorate the cancellation. Somebody has to die in it, doesn't matter how. Preferably death by porn.
