Happy Thanksgiving!

To those that celebrate, in any case. Believe me when I say that after spending the day quietly hating my family and drinking booze that wasn't nearly strong enough, I am doubly grateful for each and every one of you. No, seriously. Even if we don't talk much (or um, ever), I'm grateful that you keep me around, put up with my bullshit and frequent absences, that you make posts that keep me entertained or put my life in perspective or motivate me to do something more than I'm doing or be something more than I am.

I'm especially grateful for those of you I've gotten to know, because really, you are a kickass group of people to know. I'm surrounded by people who are smart and motivated and talented, and I love you all v. v. much.

And I am ridiculously grateful for these men, them and their goddamned beautiful selves.

I GOT AN AUTOGRAPHED PICTURE OF JENSEN ACKLES. My guess is that it was signed at the Asylum convention? Because my BFF such_jaunt sent it to me and I know she was there and it says "To Jess: All my best, Jensen Ackles" and I'm like freaking out right now because holy god. In my head, I know that freaking out because he, you know, touched this picture personally and made it out to me even though he doesn't have a clue who I am is really um, fangirlish? BUT CAN I BE ASSED TO CARE? NO. It's JENSEN ACKLES. I could have gotten a personally autographed picture of Brad Pitt or uh, I don't know, some other superstar that everybody loves and I would have been like 'aw that is cool' but I'm sorry, it's Jensen and I am allowed to flail all over everybody on my flist. And Barbara is the best BFF a girl could ever have, so. I mean. I don't know. I DON'T EVEN KNOW, YOU GUYS. I am so excited. The chances of me ever meeting him to get an autograph of my own are so v. v. slim that it's ridiculous. SO EXCITED DID I SAY THAT YET?

Unfortunately the US mail service, especially around here, kind of sucks hardcore, so the frame it was in broke, but I probably would have stuck my hand in there to retrieve the photo even if it had come surrounded by hungry sharks with lasers attached to their heads.

Barb, doll, what can I ever do to thank you enough for this? I don't even know how to say thank you enough for this. The picture and the autograph are amazing, but the fact that you thought to do this for me? In the midst of, you know, BEING IN THE SAME ROOM AS JENSEN ACKLES? Just blows me away. Get over here so we can go on that roadtrip. I love you. ♥

PS Omg your Moocard is freaking adorable and it is going right in the frame with the picture as soon as I get a new one. :D

Quick post before my house gets like, blown away or something. :-/ Tornadoes ahoy! Yeah, bad weather sucks unless it's just thunderstorms which I can curl up and sleep to. Tornadoes, GTFO plz.

Anyway SO. PEEKTURES! Of Jared! At Jensen's play! And an eyewitness account of Jared calling Jensen's daddy Pappa Ackles! WHATZOMGLSKDJFSDLSJFD. And oh yeah, Sandy was there lookin' pretty cute and some other chick which is apparently Jensen's girlfriend but you know. I focus on the big tall one that vaguely resembles a PUPPY.

- Somewhere A Clock Is Ticking - A Sylar vid, omg, so good. Seriously, I loved this song before, but now I'm just obsessed with it. Probably in my top three favorite Heroes vids of all time. Another one Lisa pointed me to, because she knows how I operate.

I have no idea why I'm in such a good mood this morning. Perhaps it was dreaming that I was an astronaut that looked sort of like Sandra McCoy being introduced to millions of screaming fans in an arena by the Burger King dude except in human form and then having to dance a ballet except that I'd never danced ballet before? I DON'T KNOW EITHER. It's slightly more strange than the one I had the other night about Hiro and Ando, elevators, assassins, steel drums, and Sean Bean.
