On the heels of my Christmas wishlist post, I come seeking information with which I can stalk you! I MEAN SEND YOU CHRISTMAS CARDS. >.>

I love love love sending out cards, and I failed so hard at it last year, so please don't be shy about giving me your information. I promise not to use it for anything skeevy, unless you like that kind of thing, in which case I will be the skeeviest. Even if you think I have your information, leave it again, just in case!

This is open to lurkers/people surfing in from friendsfriends, too, although I imagine you'd only want to fill out the Christmas card/name/address bits. ;)

AND. Hokai. Not gonna lie, I got one of the most awesome packages in the whole wide world delivered. From my BFF

such_jaunt, and I don't know how she does it, but she tops herself every time! I literally cannot even list all the stuff this package had in it, but again with the pictures when my mom decides to share. BUT I GOT ANOTHER VINTAGE MY LITTLE PONY. A PINK ONE. AND A MOTHER-EFFING SLAP BRACELET. YEAH. ALSO VINTAGE. I'm not sure I should be calling 80s stuff vintage, especially since I'm from the 80s, but you guys. A SLAP BRACELET. I haven't had one of those since I was in third grade. And all of this awesome other stuff like lip gloss and bracelets and a keychain and candy and LEGOS and just. Barbara, gosh I love you. Thank you so much, sweetheart, I am just overwhelmed with GLEE and AWESOME and LOVE.

My family Christmas wasn't nearly as awesome as that package, lol. I did get Left In Darkness, which, you know. At this point in my David Anders obsession, that is a pretty kickass gift. :D

My little sister got a puppy! My mom got me a movie and my little sister got a PUPPY. Totally fair. :D Anyway, it's a mini Dachshund and it really is adorable. We had to babysit it the night before, and I got SO attached to the thing. My sister and I decided to name it Kilgore (heh) but my little sister was not fond of that name and ended up calling it Penny.

Merry Christmas!

To those that celebrate, anyway, and to those of you that don't, I hope your holidays are wonderful, too!

We did all our presents and stuff last night, and I was pleasantly surprised that there were no major family scuffles. Way to go, family! And then I stayed up all night and slept through the big meal today. :D

yuletide opened last night! Oh god, you guys, over 2000 stories in obscure fandoms. I am nearly orgasmic with the idea of so many new fics to read. Unfortunately I only had time to read mine, My Shangri-La, which is Lost Boys, implied past David/Michael, and it is gorgeous. It's about Michael and what happens afterwards, and it's just so prettily written and fits so well, I adore it.

I've been slowly working on people's wishlists, and I have a lot less done than I'd hoped I would, but here's a couple I've gotten done.

mytimehaspassed? I love you. Really and truly. I got a handwritten McShep drabble, you guys. From one of my favorite fic writers, and just. I don't know. It's awesome and it made me tear up a little. Not just because the drabble was amazing as her writing always is, but you know. It's was a really amazing thing to do and I love it. Plus! A Christmas mix CD and a card and yeah, Shannon's tag has never been truer.

I would type the drabble out, but I'm not sure she wants it shared and I'm kinda cool with having it all to myself. :D

Oh man, plus I got a card and a personalized Mad Lib from

rhombal, and I actually have to type it out because it's great.

I admit that my brother and I have spent the last couple days randomly shouting, "I am your home now!" at each other.

yuletide. I finished my story and uploaded it about fifteen minutes before deadline. :-/ I actually considered writing two stories for my recipient anyway, and then

schneestern got out her porn-fu while I was like, four hours away from deadline and I suddenly thought I should start another story for my recipient. THANKS JULES. Anyway, the porn story is not the story I uploaded, but I may very well finish it just in case my other one sucks. I can distract from the crappiness with PORN. Works every time.

So now I have like seven bajillion other stories I want to finish before Christmas, and pinch hits are going out tonight. Cue me, huddling in a blanket with seven half-drunk cups of coffee sitting around me and my fingers bleeding.

Um. Hmm. I watched 30 Days Of Night twice the other day, once by myself and once with my siblings, and I am definitely crushing a little on ( Melissa George. )

Josh Hartnett was not too shabby himself. Ben Foster was, unfortunately, quite shabby and I would really like to see him in a role soon where he doesn't look like a total skeev/creep/psycho. And it was a pretty creepy movie, despite some fairly large plotholes/flaws.

I'm fairly sure I'm just going to go through a phase for every single person on Alias. I may have had a five-second fling with Michael Vartan the day before yesterday.

Michael Vartan is one of those people that looks way better on camera than he does in pictures, I have to admit. He always looks really wooden/uncomfortable/awkward in pictures. :-/ Hence the not having very many I like.

Ok, yeah, I'll own up. I think Bradley Cooper is pretty freaking hot, too.

Putting out another call for holiday cards, if you want one! If you already left your address in this post, don't worry about leaving it again, although I would appreciate you filling out the second half of this poll. And listen, do not even be stubborn and not leave your address just because you're not sending out cards. I HAVE the cards. If I don't send them out, they go to waste. So by leaving your address, you're doing me a favor.

I've seen a few people post these so far, but more of you need to get on that. Even if it's just fannish stuff you want, I'd like to try and grant as many as I can this year. And if you've posted one, link me! Obvs you are under no obligation to even try to grant any of these, it's just a just in case kinda thing. :D

Step One

- Make a post (public, friendslocked, filtered...whatever you're comfortable with) to your LJ. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fandom-related ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.

- If you wish for real life things (not fics or icons), make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you.

- Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ, or link to this post (it'll be public) so that the holiday joy will spread.

Step Two

- Surf around your friendslist (or friendsfriends, or just random journals) to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:

- If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free--do it.

You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call.

There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.
